Tennis News

It may be cold and grey outside, but there’s been a real buzz of activity at the tennis club as preparations get underway for the new season.

This week, members of the tennis club generously gave their time and energy to organise a thorough clean of the tennis courts, clearing away algae and making everything ready for play ahead of the season starting in April.

On behalf of the Playing Fields Committee, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved. It was no small job — taking over two days and even involving a water bowser — but the results speak for themselves. The courts now look fantastic and are truly match-ready.

A reminder that the courts are here for everyone to enjoy, welcoming both local residents and visitors from further afield.

If you’d like to find out more about the tennis club in Long Riston, which proudly traces its roots back to 1961, please get in touch with Lenny Taylor on 07817 396 495 .
