Shuttington Parish council is a statutory body and is the first tier of local government in England. As a body accountable to the public, the parish council adheres to the Nolan Principles which were set by the Committee on Standards in Public Life

We serve the electorate and are independently elected. We raise a precept – a form of council tax – from the local community..
Your council works towards improving community well-being and providing better services at a local level. Our activities fall into three main categories:
- representing the local community;
- delivering services to meet local needs;

GDPR - General date Protection Regulation
After four years of preparation and debate the GDPR was finally approved by the EU Parliament on 14 April 2016. Enforcement date: 25 May 2018.
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and was designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organizations across the region approach data privacy.
