St Juliot is a rural parish adjacent to the North Cornwall coast taking in a swathe of beautiful countryside protected by AONB status and some smaller but thriving communities. The communities of Beeny, Marshgate, Otterham Station, Pennycrocker and Tresparrett all fall wholly or partly within the parish boundaries, as does the parish church of St Juliot, made famous by Wessex author Thomas Hardy (1860-1928) who met his first wife while working as an architect on the restoration of this attractive building.
