Picnics, Parachutes & Pimms!

On Saturday 8th August at 2pm, at St Marys Church, Stone. Bring your teddies with their parachutes, ready to make a leap of faith from the church tower! Bring along a picnic, plus there will be cakes, Pimms, produce and crafts on sale.

Tower visits £1, Guess the name of the teddy competition, free entry and parking.

 

Stone cum Ebony Memorial Hall Pop up Pub Returns!

The Memorial Inn will be open for business again on Saturday 29th August 2026, 2pm til 11pm.

Ales, wine, lager etc will be on offer as usual, plus alcohol free options. There will also be BBQ food

Everyone welcome (please keep dogs on leads!)

Cash and card payments accepted, with all proceeds going towards repairs to the Hall roof.

 

Annual Pilgrimage.

From Ebony Church to Chapel Bank will be on Sunday 6th September, starting at 3pm. This event began in 1958 to mark the hundredth anniversary of the moving of the church from Chapel Bank to its current spot on Reading Street. There will be a short service in the church at 3pm, and then process up to Chapel Bank. Bring your picnics, dogs also welcome.

 

Oxney Local History Group.

To mark the 25th Anniversary of the group, there will be an open day on the 12th September in Stone Memorial Hall, midday to 4pm. Some of the photos and history that's been collected over the years will be displayed, everyone is welcome. There will also be cakes and hot drinks available, plus it's free!

 

Jumble Sale.

The bi-annual Jumble Sale returns to the Memorial Hall on Saturday 10th October.
