Sudbury Bowls Club
Sudbury Bowls Club was founded in 1913, details and photographs can be viewed on the 'History of Sudbury Bowls Club Page'.
We are a members club located in Quay Lane CO10 2AN, entrance is opposite the Quay Theatre.
Bowls England (Indoors and Outdoors) and English Bowling Federation (Indoors and Outdoors) are both played by the club.
Having celebrated its centenary in 2013, the club continues to be successful due to a mix of both competitive and social members. Our competitive bowlers participate in National, County and Club Competitions.
Adjacent to the outdoor six rink lawn green is a spacious four rink indoor club with recently completed improvements to the heating system and ventilation, Ladies and Gentlemen changing areas, separate disabled facility, licensed bar and social lounge, LED lighting in the bowls hall, solar panels on the roof and a fully equipped kitchen.
During the Winter Indoor Season players from local Outdoor Clubs integrate into the sixty plus teams in our Leagues and annual Competitions.
The club welcome new bowlers at any time of the year. If you would like to try bowls for the first time indoors or outdoors, please email Colin Clarke at sudburybowlsclub@outlook.com Colin will be pleased to offer you help and advice. We also have qualified coaches available who will help together with explaining the finer points of the game. More information is available on the 'Club Membership Page'
