There are now 14 clubs in Dorset which have obtained Safe Bowls Status. The good news for our members is that Tarrant Keyneston SMBC is one of them!

Massive thanks to Lorraine King, our secretary, for her hard work in getting this organised, together with Peter Hawkins, our chairman, and anyone else who has helped with the application.

Obviously, after today's announcement of a second lockdown, it is clear that the club will not re-open in the near future.

However, do not underestimate the importance of obtaining Safe Bowls Status. When the rules are eventually relaxed, we will be in a position to restart. Without it, that would not have been possible.

The Dorset short mat clubs with certificates are Bishops Caundle, Broadstone Wessex, Cerne Abbas, Charlton Marshall, Gillingham, Hazelbury Bryan, Heatherlands, Lytchett Manor, Okeford Fitzpaine, Sixpenny Handley, Tarrant Keyneston, Wareham, Winterborne Whitechurch and Wool.
