Today was the final day for the bulk of the short mat bowlers at the TLH Autumn Short Mat Festival.

Tonight saw the final rounds of the Pairs competition, and Rob Williams and Francis Dennett were the only Keyneston team left in the event at the Quarter Final stage. A loss to Francis Brady and Gavin Knight saw them bow out one round short of the money prizes.

Rob also picked up a "Hot Shot" badge, alongside wife Maureen and Brian Smith, for a maximum score of six on one end during the Triples competition.

The final Triples will play their Quarter Finals tomorrow morning in the Main competition, but none of our players remain. The only TK players not to reach the Main competition were newbies Anita and Robin Evans, who were transferred into the Plate competition. Playing with local Ray Scott they won their Plate Triples group, and they are the only TK players involved tomorrow, when they will be playing in the Plate Semi-Final.
