What we offer
The Old Laundry offers an ideal space for small groups and individuals who want to pursue a hobby or interest in quiet and beautiful surroundings. The building has two refurbished rooms: one, originally used for laundry, which now contains facilities for making hot drinks and a second smaller space where many of the original features of the building have been restored. An extension provides fully accessible toilets.
It is also suitable as a base for larger groups, including schools, to use if they are visiting the church site to explore aspects of local history and ecology or to study the story of its ancient church. There will be displays in the building bringing together local stories associated with the site as well as significant moments in its history.
Charges
Residents of, or groups based in, Waberthwaite: £6 an hour
Standard rate: £10 an hour
Half or full day bookings; negotiable
