The Romsey Organic Gardeners (usually shortened to TROG) seeks to encourage and support its members in understanding the principles of organic gardening and how to apply them in practice.  We are a friendly group who meet once a month from September to May at Crosfield Hall Annexe, Broadwater Road, Romsey (near Bus Station).

Our meetings are usually held on the first Thursday of the month and start at 7:30 pm. During the summer, visits are arranged to members’ and other gardens.

At our meetings, a talk is given by a speaker on a wide range of topics loosely associated with the theme of organic gardening or environmental conservation.  After the talk, there is time to chat with other members over coffee or tea and biscuits as well as browse the sales table with members’ donations of excess produce and spare plants.  Visitors are always very welcome to just turn up at meetings and give us a try.  For meetings with an external speaker there is a charge of £2 for each visitor.

Whether you have a large or small garden or even just a few pots, a seasoned green-fingered gardener or a nervous novice you will feel at home with TROG and find something to interest you.

TROG’s aims include promoting organic methods but we recognise implementing them can be difficult. So don’t be put off joining just because you are not fully organic. Our talks cover a wide variety of gardening & environmental subjects. However, the most valuable benefit is being able to talk over organic ideas with fellow enthusiasts.

See our Programme for the dates of recent and future meetings, plus summary information about the speakers and subjects. See our Gallery & Newsletters tab if you want to see previous meetings with members enjoying themselves or to also read our newsletter.

If you want to know more about our formal details including membership click on the Committee tab. Follow the Contacts tab if you wish to ask a specific question about the group or to find a number of links to other related organisations.
