Uffington, Oxfordshire is a thriving historic village and civil parish in the western Vale of White Horse District of Oxfordshire, England. At the 2021 census the population of Uffington parish was 851.

The famous Uffington White Horse chalk figure overlooks the village and is estimated to be 3500 years old. Just off the ancient Ridgeway, Uffington is a regular stop off for cyclists and walkers tackling the National Trail or King Alfred’s Way cycling route. Ancient Wayland’s Smithy and Ashdown are close by. Uffington is 7 miles from Swindon, 6 miles from Wantage, 5 miles from Faringdon, and 21 miles from Oxford.

St Mary's Church, known as The Cathedral of the Vale is located within the village not far from the Uffington Museum which is dedicated to local history and the Thomas Hughes Memorial Hall, a large modern hall hosting local events and available to hire.

Uffington has a welcoming and caring primary schoolvillage shop which includes the local Post Office and the Fox and Hounds pub.

Local clubs include football, tennis, gardening, walking, and Scout groups.

The August bank holiday weekend sees hosts the annual White Horse Show raising funds for local causes.

Uffington Parish Council actively supports our local community through regular funding, managing the playground, maintaining the village’s allotments, burial ground and green spaces and representing residents through the local councils.
