South East Water - Temporary Road Closure - Chartway Street, Sutton Valence - 19th January 2026 (Maidstone District)

Due to works planned to be undertaken by South East Water, it will be necessary to close part of Chartway Street, Sutton Valence, from 19th January 2026 with estimated completion by 20th January 2026.

Chartway Street, Sutton Valence, will be closed in the vicinity of Homefield House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chartway Street, Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Kings Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 North Street, Chartway Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow carriageway repairs to be carried out, works are undertaken by South East Water.
