WABERTHWAITE & CORNEY PARISH COUNCIL

COUNCILLOR VACANCY

Become a Parish Councillor: Make a Real Difference in Your Community

Are you passionate about Waberthwaite & Corney? Parish councillors play a vital role in representing local interests, delivering Parish services, and enhancing the quality of life for residents. Our Parish Council has been dedicated to fulfilling the community’s aspirations, and we’re proud of the positive impact of our recent projects:

  • Defibrillator installed at St Johns Church, Waberthwaite
  • Solar-powered defibrillator unit at Moorside Farm, Corney
  • Riverbank reinforcement and secure fencing installed near the Parish Council carpark

There’s still much to accomplish, and we need enthusiastic individuals to help us continue this important work. If you—or someone you know—would be interested in joining us, we’re looking to co-opt a new member who can represent the electorate and help shape our community’s future.

No special qualifications are needed. All you need is:

  • An interest in Waberthwaite & Corney
  • Willingness to participate in Council activities
  • Availability to attend monthly meetings

To learn more or express your interest, please contact the Clerk, Gail Savage, at 01229 770310 or email waberthwaitepc@outlook.com
