3. On Friday 22nd March members met at the Cowplain Activity Centre for a fish and chip supper accompanied by another talk from Dave Allport. This time the topic was ‘The Battle of Trafalgar’. I think everyone enjoyed the evening, hearing about this epic sea battle and the final moments of Admiral Nelson. A big thank you must go to Paul Turner for organising the evening. There will be another similar event in the autumn.

4. The final episode of the mangle restoration. Pete Sanders has spent much time on this relic of the past and now it sits in it’s full glory. A very nice artefact from a distant past. Nice one Pete!
