Carrshield Village Hall

Carrshield Village Hall is based at Barney Craig Mineshop. The building was gifted by Allendale Estate to a community company, Allen Valleys Enterprise Ltd, who run the building as an asset for the community.

The upper floors have been opened as a no-frills Camping Barn – a weather-proof stopover for walkers, C2Cers, and dark sky astronomers exploring the area.

Downstairs, we have a hall, kitchen, and meeting room. There is also a pottery studio on site.

Big Table Crafting
Join us at 9:15 AM - 1:00 PM Wednesday mornings.
You are welcome to bring your current sewing project and join in the banter, learn new skills, share your expertise, or just indulge in your creativity for a WHOLE morning.

Games Night
Every Thursday! The bar is open from 7 PM until kicking out time (usually around 10-10:30 PM)!
Enjoy a variety of games, including dominoes, darts, table tennis, draughts, and chess… and often finishing with a game of poker!
