President v Vice President 2025 President v Vice President 2025

Since 1950, the club has been part of the West Moors community, offering a friendly and welcoming place for people to stay active, social and connected through the sport of lawn bowls. Our members are mostly from the local area, many of whom have long-standing ties to the club and the wider community.  We have a large, comfortable and well equipped clubhouse, with a kitchen and bar that is the envy of many of the teams that visit us during a season.

During the winter season we have 2 short mats in our Clubhouse with ‘roll-up’ sessions throughout the week. We also have internal competitions and the opportunity to play in Dorset leagues and friendly matches against other clubs. We also have a varied social calendar with lots of fun events such as quizzes, Bingo, and a Race Night  to name but a few.

Last year we celebrated our 75th anniversary, which was a fantastic milestone for us. Alongside the celebrations, we made strong progress in attracting new members, raising our profile locally, and enjoying success on the green — both with individual players in County competitions and some of our teams achieving excellent results in the leagues we compete in across Dorset, the New Forest, and Bournemouth and District.  In addition, four of our Ladies also qualified for the National Finals at Leamington – our sports’ equivalent of getting to Wembley!
