Food Bank
The Widdrington Station & Stobswood food bank was initially formed during the first Covid-19 lockdown as part of the Parish Councils response to the crisis and to support those isolating or vulnerable.
The food bank has now become its own vital part of the community with support from dedicated volunteers and the community.
We average 25 food parcels a week and are now looking at how we can sustain this venture next year.
We have now formed a committee and a constitution will be drawn up going forward along with close working with other food banks in the area.
The food bank are supported by several volunteers as well as a number of local businesses who regularly donate items to support our community and those in need.
If you are in need of any support then please contact one of the team on 073915 48264 who will be happy to assist.
All requests are in the strictest of confidence.
