The Ladies' Champion of Champions Final was played at Dolphin on 4th February. Having won the area final against Lorraine Slater of Banister Park, Alice Lovett of Loddon Vale won the earlier rounds of the Finals with wins against Olivia Moulton (Whiteoak) and Rebecca Willgress (Norfolk Bowling Club), and played Morgan Merryweather (Whiteknights) in the final.

It was a tight match but the two calmest people were on the rink. In the opening ends Morgan Merryweather took the early lead. Alice came back and took the score out to 5-3 but at the 45 minute mark Morgan had equalised at 5-5. Alice again edged forward to 8-5, a lead that was cut back to 8-6 by the end of the first hour, fifteen minutes later it was all square at 10-10.

It was Morgan's time to edge in front but Alice quickly equalized to 11-11 only to drop 11-12 down on the 90 minute mark. The next end saw Alice once again ahead at 14-12 but dropping three on the next end to trail 14-15 and back to 15-15 after an hour and three quarters.

As the game moved towards its conclusion on the 2 hour mark Morgan Merryweather moved to a lead of 17 - 16 and all square again at 17 - 17 with a 4 winning the game for either player.

Alice scored 3 and the end was in sight but it wasn't plain sailing as, on 135 minutes, Morgan scored 2 to put the match into a nervy 20 -19 with Morgan on the mat. Alice scored 1 to finally win the match and become the Ladies' Champion of Champions. Congratulations to Alice Lovett, Champion of Champions.
