Allotment Rent and Agreement Review
The Council resolved at its meeting on 16 September 2025 to increase allotment rents by 4% meaning the price of a standard allotment will increase from £24 to £25 per annum with effect from 1 November 2025. This website post formally gives allotment holders one month's notice of the increase.
The Council also resolved to initiate a review of allotment rules and policies with the aim of approving a new allotment tenancy agreement at its October meeting. The revision will be mainly presentational and seek to clarify existing rules rather than impose any significant new obligations on tenants. Tenants should receive a copy of the new agreement with their 2025/26 invoice by the end of October 2025.
