August began with our Memorial Trophy Day won this year by Edith Burke. This was a very enjoyable day including a fun event of nearest the spider won by Iris McCrossan, well done to both girls.

Both Greenside and Woodside completed their remaining games in the Welwyn and Hatfield League, where both teams finished mid table, securing there positions for next season.

The ladies enjoyed a friendly away to St Albans Ladies where although we won 2 rinks to 1, we lost overall by 7 points.

Well done to Alan Croshaw for reaching two single finals in the Welwyn Hatfield League Competitions to be played on Sunday, 18th September.
