Facilitated by Kyniska Advocacy — Leading Experts in Safe Sport Culture

Kyniska Advocacy brings their nationally recognised expertise in safe sport, welfare and athlete‑centred culture to this essential session designed to strengthen the environments in which sport happens. Known for their evidence‑based frameworks, practical tools and athlete‑informed approach, Kyniska deliver a session that is dynamic, thought‑provoking and directly applicable to real sport settings.

If your organisation is committed to raising standards, improving culture and ensuring everyone in sport thrives — this is a session you cannot afford to miss.

Session Focus: Red Flag / Green Flag Behaviours

Using Kyniska’s Circle of Change model, this session examines how healthy culture is built across three layers:
the organisation, the training environment, and the athlete/participant.
Participants leave with practical insights that strengthen safeguarding, communication and everyday decision‑making.

What Kyniska Will Cover

1. Safeguarding, Welfare & Wellbeing Fundamentals

Kyniska provides a clear, up‑to‑date snapshot of the UK’s evolving safe sport landscape, breaking down:

  • Foundational safeguarding principles
  • Organisational responsibilities and cultural expectations
  • What effective welfare practice looks like in modern sport

Their expertise grounds the session in both current standards and emerging best practice.

2. Boundaries, Consent & Effective Communication

Through facilitated discussion and guided activities, Kyniska helps participants explore:

  • What healthy, appropriate boundaries look like in sport
  • How consent operates as an ongoing, shared process
  • Communication that empowers athletes and keeps environments psychologically safe

Kyniska’s approach is practical, accessible and rooted in lived experience across sport.

3. Spotting Green, Amber and Red Flag Behaviours

Using Kyniska’s Traffic Light Tool, participants learn to confidently recognise:

  • Green flags — behaviours that build a positive, safe, respectful environment
  • Amber flags — early warning signs that something may be off
  • Red flags — harmful behaviours or potential indicators of abuse

Kyniska’s facilitation makes these scenarios relatable and directly relevant to everyday coaching, leadership and organisational culture.

Why This Session Stands Out

  • Delivered by leading voices in safe sport
  • Combines expert insight with practical tools you can use immediately
  • Creates a space for honest discussion without judgement
  • Ensures participants leave with clarity, confidence and actionable next steps

This isn’t just another safeguarding workshop — it’s a culture‑shaping session that equips everyone with the understanding and behaviours needed to create healthier environments across sport.

This is a fully funded forum, at no cost to the attendees. Please feel free to share the registration link with other club staff / volunteers; including coaches as we are more than happy for multiple members from your club to attend.
