We have MOVED

We have moved!

After many years, and a few false starts, Alton Men’s Shed has finally found a new location that will cut the shackles that was holding back the growth and expansion of a very popular local amenity.  Alton Men’s Shed has formed a partnership with Dementia Friendly Alton to move their activities to Edgar Hall, which is next to the Energique Gym in Anstey Park. This will allow both charities to continue and expand their work in helping the well-being and mental health of the more elderly residents in Alton and it’s surrounds. The elderly population in Alton is increasing year on year and brings with it own varied and challenging needs.

Alton Men’s Shed will now have the workshop space that will accommodate, not only improved woodworking facilities, but the introduction of metal working, vehicle maintenance, craft work, an IT suite, and anything else that the members desire. Edgar Hall is well equipped with a practical kitchen, spacious men’s & lady’s toilets, disabled toilet and smaller rooms for “chill out” moments.  There is ample car parking in its own car park, and plenty of additional spaces around the park.

The Trustees look forward to welcoming you to our new location.
