Welcome to Ashford camcorder club

Introduction

If you use a phone, tablet, camera or camcorder to make short films and would like to join us please to contact

The club started in 1994 and is 30 year old this year some of the original members are still there. We have a membership of about 23 + members of mixed abilities with attendance of about 16 a meeting

We hold meetings every other Tuesday from 7.30 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.

The films are made by individual members and occasionally some are made by groups

Members use computers to edit their films on a variety of software packages such as Adobe, Pinnacle Studio and Magix which was not the case in the beginning when a lot of editing was carried out on video machines

Competitions are held throughout the year culminating with the BEST STILLS OF YEAR and BEST FILM OF YEAR awards.

Some members are now making video and Still films from their camcorders, cameras Phones etc. with narration and music.

The club also has a social side and a community based mobile film show unit [see under events]

New members are welcome
