With the news that clubs and restaurants across Wales can open their premises from today, the club committee are pleased to announce that our pavilion will also be open from today, Monday 3rd August.
However, and as you might expect, we have had to put in place a number of additional precautionary measures in order to protect the health and welfare of our members, which are in addition to the measures that have already been introduced following the opening of the green.
The club has specific allocated entrances and exits and a one way system to allow members and guests the space to use the club safely - please observe these at all times. Tables have been spaced to allow use within the current Covid guidelines so please do not move these, nor the chairs, from the assigned positions. Please do not congregate either at the entrances and exits and allow members sufficient space to enter and exit the pavilion.
Face visors are available for bar staff, and a queuing system for anyone requiring a drink, with only one person at the bar at any time. Hand gel and sanitising spray is available throughout the club and members are asked to spray and clean down tables and chairs after use - this is your responsibility not a committee member's or bar staff responsibility so please follow the guidance which is in place for your protection and that of others. Please take any used glasses and cans back to the bar after you have finished with them.
The following areas and equipment are not in use at this time:
  1. Changing rooms apart from access to toilet facilities
  2. Kitchen and kitchen equipment
  3. Pool Table
In order to allow for sufficient space for social distancing, there should be no more than 30 people in the pavilion at any time and not more than one person behind the bar. A reminder also that the organiser of any events at the club including internal competitions, or games against other clubs are responsible for compiling a list of all players and spectators with their contact details that are present at the club and retaining that list behind the bar for contact tracing purposes should this be required by Public Health Wales.
We all hope to be able to lift these restrictions when it is safe to do so but until then it is important that we all remember that the virus is still circulating in our area and that these measures are necessary for our well being; we will of course keep these measures under review to ensure their effectiveness and to ensure that our members are assured that we are operating as part of a safe environment at all times.
Thanks once again to our designated Covid officer Keith Selley for helping the club put in place the requirements that are necessary for our members to once again enjoy our green and facilities.
