Last September when the Council unlocked the storage garage at our green I spotted an honour board rotting away at the back. After getting it out I saw it was an original Beeston (Manchester Unity) honour board dating back to 1957 and our clubs history, so I set about getting it repaired. Over winter the missing moulding was replaced, gold lettering touched up, sanding and coats of varnish applied . The board now hangs proudly in the away changing room in the clubhouse on Broadgate Park in memory of those who played all those years ago.
