About the Parish Council
Bilsthorpe Parish Council is the first tier of local government and has eleven elected members. It provides
support and information to local organisations and residents and provides a range of local services including two
parks/ playing fields, a village hall and a public convenience.
The Council employs three staff including a litter picker who ensures that the parks and playgrounds are tidy and
litter free.
The Council is consulted by both the District and County Council on a variety of issues such as planning and
various policies.
