    Club competition
All matches have now been played for our own club competition so the lineup for Finals weekend in September will be announced soon. Congratulations to all those who have made it into the finals and those of us who were unsuccessful this year will be cheering you on.
    Any queries? contact Chris
Make sure you have the dates for Club finals in your diary. This is 14th and 15th September. Presentations of the trophies will take place later in the year.

    Warwickshire matches
The men’s section played a decisive and exciting game against Southam recently to reach the quarter finals of the Wardrop Cup but were beaten by visitors from Sherwood Park this week. The Ladies, playing one less round, also made it to the quarter finals of the Top Club competition earlier in the season. Well done to both for fielding such a strong team.

Bilton Men’s 2 Wood Trophy Competition Sunday 4th Aug
This annual knockout competition will be held during the day. Thank you to our new organisers for making the arrangements this year. Bring your own lunch and spectators are very welcome.

Rugby Bowling Association Len Taylor Triples match Sunday 11th August
This is an annual match with Bilton asked to host the event this year. Players from clubs across Rugby will play preliminary rounds, with the highest scoring teams competing for the Trophy. We will have refreshments and food available for competitors and spectators starting from around 8.30 and through the day.

Call for support – A rota is on the noticeboard please sign up for a two-hour slot or contact Sandra
Please bring raffle prizes on the day if you are able to donate.

Ladies V Gents match Saturday 17th August 2.00
Casual dress or club gear. Open to all members with refreshments and a shared buffet table. Sign up using the sheets on the noticeboard or get in touch with Helen or Warren
We will also have a raffle so if you can donate a raffle prize, please bring it in on the day.

    Centenary Border
You will have seen all the work that goes into the gardens and borders around the grounds and heard the lovely comments from visiting players. An email came out earlier in the season about work on the centenary border starting in the Autumn. Look out for this extra call for help to clear and prepare the border for the winter or speak to John G, David C, Frank D and Richard W.

    The Green
On the same note we get such great comments from our visitors for the quality of our green and how well its playing and the welcome and hospitality given at the club. Thank you to everyone who shares their love of the sport and are proud to share this Club. It really shows.

    Cleaning Rota
This is on the noticeboard. Please check and add your name. It works well if you can team up with another member and do it together. An hour to do the area inside the lobby with all cleaning materials provided and every little helps.

End of season social and celebration Friday 20th September 7.00
Join us for a get together to celebrate the end of the year and closing down of the green for another season. Music from ‘Scratch and Sniff’ bar and spot prizes.

    Club Shirts
There are good quality club shirts and gear on the donation rail in the lobby area. There is also information on the noticeboard with details of surplus stock of club shirts/jackets available.
