Bilton Bowling Club - History
The club was initially formed in 1926, as a Conservative Bowling Club before dropping the political association and continuing as a Men’s only club. Ladies were invited to join in 1960 and we now have membership of approx. 50 men and 30 ladies.
The land on which the club stands was donated to the club and is held in trust, its use being restricted to the operation of a bowling and social club. Originally the clubhouse was a small wooden structure to the east of the green. The current clubhouse was opened on the 31st August 1968, and stands at the opposite side of the green.
