A very Happy New Year to everyone, although it is, nearly February! In winter things may be quieter, but there’s always something happening at the Club and planning is in full swing for the start of the 2025 outdoor season. Meanwhile many of our members continue to bowl indoors through the winter and we wish them all the best in their competitions. Here is your update and the latest news.

RBA President 2025 Congratulations to Dave Harrison as the President of the Rugby Bowling Club Association this year. “I am proud to represent Bilton Bowling Club as President of the RBA for the 2025 season. Please enter as many games and competitions as you can. I look forward to seeing you on the Green”

Your new Committee Thank you to everyone who came to the AGM in December. The new Committee is posted on our web page and noticeboard.

Club Maintenance The winter months are a good opportunity to crack on with maintenance and jobs. Thank you to the hard-working team and tea drinkers who continue to turn out each week to look after the building and the grounds to keep things in tip top condition. The hall floor is gleaming after a clean and polish and the bar and entrance hall are having a refresh with plans to make the noticeboards easier to use. If you can get involved to support this work now or into the future, please speak to Derek or Richard who will be happy to tell you more about it.

Hall Hire We have a number of organisations who regularly use our hall for meetings and events. Previously Sandra and Dave have done a fantastic job of managing the hall hire, taking enquiries and bookings and making sure everything runs smoothly and we thank them for all their hard work. We are pleased to share that Steve and Christine will now be managing hall hire. Please advertise this facility amongst friends and family and if you have any questions please contact Steve.

Club Competition Last year’s competition results are posted on the website. If you would like your photograph posted in the competition gallery, please email your photo to Sally
