In other news - Bilton Bowling Club History 1928-1934
The management committee hold a meeting and present to the membership Mr Hortons “generous offer” to move the Green and facilities to its current site and the club moves its home as a permanent arrangement onto grounds owned by the Horton family. Mr Horton sadly dies in 1932 and a letter dated 1934 confirms the renewing of a lease; I enclose herewith a Tenancy Agreement for consideration of your committee. The rent of £5 per annum may seem to your committee a little high, but the members of the late Mr Horton’s family would like to subscribe the sum of £5 annually to your funds.
