Residents are being called and told they are eligible for the Household Support Fund. What happens:

  • The caller says they are from the local council
  • They ask for the resident's bank details so £250 can be transferred
The Household Support Fund (HSF) will not ask for your bank details, as a voucher is sent via post, text or email.

Report scams to Action Fraud 0300 123 2040
For advice, contact Citizens Advice consumer helpline 0808 223 1133
If you give your bank details to a scammer alert your bank immediately

Please warn family members, friends and neighbours in the area!
