Walk Meadow

Walk Meadow is a 13 acre public open space located at the junction of Bottlescrew Hill and Cliff Hill. The site is bordered on the north by a magnificent row of ancient lime trees and to the south by a bluebell wood. This area was an old grubbed out apple orchard but has been sensitively managed over the last 25 years to provide a variety of habitats for wildlife - rewilding before anyone knew what it was!

The local community came together several years ago to plant an additional 1,500 trees in Walk Meadow to assist with rewilding and in 2022 a new wildflower meadow and wildlife pond were created.
