Welcome to Burton Leonard Parish Council

Burton Leonard is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate District of North Yorkshire, England and is approximately 7 miles  south of Ripon.

The village is typical of the area and at its centre is the village green. Burton Leonard is home to St Leonard's Church, a primary school, a cricket club, sports facilities, a pub and a village Post Office & shop.

Buses run every few hours during Monday to Saturday day-times from the village green to the nearby towns of Ripon, Knaresborough, Boroughbridge and also as far away as York.

The village hosts a vast range of clubs, groups and activities for villagers to enjoy. In 2016 the village welcomed Dementia Forward to the George Armitage House (previously The Methodist Church - purchased and donated to Dementia Forward by a local charitable trust).

This website is used by the Parish Council to provide locally important information about its meetings (agendas and minutes), financial information and reports. The Parish Council's policies and other standard documents are also published on this site.
