Here are the governance documents that are adopted by the Parish Council. Please click on the Link to access the document.

Please note that these are draft documents and will be formally adopted at the next Annual Meeting of the Parish Council to be held in May 2024

The Code of Conduct gives the rules by which meetings of the Parish Council are run and was adopted by all Burton Leonard Parish Councillors at the annual meeting of the Parish Council on ?? May 2024.

The Code of Conduct (Social Media) are guidance and rules for Parish Councilors concerning the use of Social Media.

Financial regulations govern the conduct of financial management by the council and may only be amended or varied by resolution of the council. Financial regulations are on of the council's three governing policy documents providing procedural guidance for members and officers. Financial regulations must be observed in conjunction with the councils standing orders and any individual financial regulations relating to contracts.

Standing orders are the written rules of a local council. Standing orders are essential to regulate the proceedings of a meeting. A council may also use standing orders to confirm or refer to various internal organisational and administrative arrangements. The standing orders of a council are not the same as the policies of a council but standing orders may refer to them.

The Publication Scheme commits the Parish Council to make information available to the public as part of its normal business activities.

The Complaints Procedure is used in situations where a complaint has been made about the administration of the parish council or the conduct of one of its members.

The Risk Assessment Strategy is to identify, assess and control the risks for the operations and business of the Parish Council.
