Church News

Rev Chris

The group Rector, Rev Chris Harrington, will retire on 4 July 2026. A farewell service will be held at Heckington on 5 July, including a presentation, followed by a buffet lunch.

Burton Pedwardine Church will remain lay-led, with oversight from retired priest, Canon Beverley Stark.

Rogation Walk

At the end of April, Lodge Farm hosted our annual Rogation walk and blessing of local crops. Robert Coy led an engaging farm tour, sharing valuable insights into modern farming methods. The event concluded with a short blessing service and a barbecue.

Hymns & Pimm's

On 31 May, we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of Hymns and Pimm’s, with 52 voices singing favourite hymns accompanied by Jonny Austin on the organ. We also heard the story behind each hymn before enjoying a welcome glass—or two—of Pimm’s and delicious canapés. The event raised £250 towards organ repairs.
