Sutton & District Indoor Match
Carshalton Bowling Club
On the 24th January '24 Carshalton BC were invited by Paul Songer, outgoing President of Sutton & District BA and also our current club President, to play a match at Croydon IBC to mark the end of his Presidency with SDBA.
Not only did Carshalton provide 6 mixed rinks, there were also 4 players from the club playing for the District !
Carshalton gained a small victory 100 to 97.
Paul presented Alan Shearing, Carshalton Captain of the Day, with a Presidents Award 2024 trophy for all of the Carshalton members who had played for SDBA in the past and present. So often the SDBA team comprised of more than 12 Carshalton players and in the 2023-24 Winter season 21 players had come from the club. The other nearest club was Wallington with 7 players. A great achievement by Carshalton for having so many members playing for the Association. Well done to all.
