Events
Regular Events
The Parish Council organises few regular events within the Parish. Events are usually organised by groups - such as the Clarborough & District Women's Institute, Scouts etc - or by private individuals.
Recurring Parish Council Events
In previous years there have been events to mark the annual lighting of the Christmas Tree and a Christmas Market. There has also been a regular Spring Litter Pick in past years.
One-Off Parish Council Events
The Parish Council will occasionally organise local events which are linked to some major national commemoration or celebration, often in conjunction with other organisations within the Parish eg:
November 2018 - The marking of the Centenary of the end of the Great War in November 1918 was marked by several coordinated events taking place over a two-day period.
May 2020 - a two-day event was organised to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the end of the war in Europe in 1945. This had to be cancelled at the last minute due to Covid 19 restrictions.
June 2022 - The Platinum Anniversary to mark 70 years of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth being monarch. The reduced number of Parish Councillors was unable to organise any large scale celebrations but there was a live band performance, the Parish Beacon was lit as part of the National celebrations and an Afternoon Tea was organised by the WI.
