Presentation Night 2017

The 4th November 2017 saw the presentation evening for Eastney Bowls Club members take place at the Rose In June in Milton Road. It was attended by around 28 people (members and partners). The evening started with the sale of raffle tickets before going on to the main event, the award giving. All awards were presented by the Club President, Roger Wood apart from the one that he won, which was presented by the club treasurer, Trevor Muston.

First up were the winners of the Pairs competition, Peter King and Ivor Gardner (no photo as yet) followed by the runners-up, Bryan Cherry and Dave Watkins

Next up was the winner of the 2 wood competition, Bill Pafford followed by the runner-up, John Runnells

Next up was the winner of the 4 wood handicap competition, Steve Randell followed by the runner-up, Ivor Gardner

Finally, was the winner of the Club Championship competition, Ivor Gardner followed by the runner-up, Roger Wood

Having completed the formal part of the evening, and it being too early for food, it was decided to hold the raffle. There were many prizes on offer, most of which were donated by members. I wonder if anyone went home with what they brought along?

it was time to start the quiz, which Roger had provided. after a few rounds, it was time for food, so we stopped to take advantage of the spread laid out in front of us, before going back to the quiz.

The evening finished around 11pm. Thank you to all who attended and we can now look forward to next season.
