As some of you will know, Jane Holmes is celebrating her 90th birthday on 22nd August.

Jane has often put on a coffee morning for 'birthday girls' - so we thought it was our turn to do the same, together with giving her a token of our good wishes. Jane has done so much in and for the village over the years, supporting all village causes with enthusiasm and generosity, as well as her mammoth efforts in growing and selling tomatoes and other plants during Art Weeks, her significant input into WI both as Chairman and also creating the interesting record of events. For may years Jane has also held a Christmas coffee morning for the church and other good causes and she shares her lifelong love of books with many in the village with her own personal collection.

We are planning this celebration coffee morning in the Reading Room on Tuesday 25th August, between 10:30 and 12:30 and we do hope you'll come along to celebrate too.
