Greyhound Trust Shropshire & Borders
Greyhound Trust Shropshire and Borders, originally formed in 2006 under the name Greyhound Rescue Shropshire & Borders, GRSB, is a branch of the Greyhound Trust. The group is made up of enthusiastic volunteers who kennel, foster and find homes for the greyhounds in our care. We work hard to promote greyhounds as pets and the majority of our greyhounds are ex racers from trainers and greyhound tracks in the UK.
We re-home hounds all over Shropshire, into the Welsh border regions and South Cheshire, although we will consider home offers from other areas.
Greyhounds make great pets and we work hard to match the right home with the right greyhound. We consider each case individually whether you work or are retired, single or with a family. Our mission is to help these wonderful dogs find suitable homes, we provide support and back up during the life of the greyhound while promoting their image as great companions.
Please have a look at our greyhounds for adoption on their individual pages under the "Dogs for adoption" tab above.
Most of our greyhounds are in private kennels or foster homes and we ask that you contact us initially by email or phone. One of our Homing Team will call for a chat and can then arrange for you to meet the hounds.
You can also meet our volunteers and greyhounds one of our Events. We are a friendly bunch always ready to chat to you about our greyhounds looking for their new homes. You can help us in a variety of ways by donating, volunteering, sponsoring a greyhound or fostering if you can’t re -home a greyhound.
