ANNOUNCEMENT

We have to announce that Greyhound Trust Shropshire & Borders will be ending its relationship with Primchurch Boarding Kennels, Su and Paul, the owners have decided to take their business in a different direction which does not include having our greyhounds on site, so we have been given notice to leave by 31st October 2023.

The committee, with the support of Greyhound Trust, have decided to reduce our greyhound numbers to just those kennelled with Lesley, our Homing Officer, for the time being.

Be assured that the branch is continuing to find loving homes for retired racing greyhounds. This will impact on our numbers available for homing at any one time but we will still be able to assess all our greyhounds and match them to suitable homes,

If anyone has any suggestions or ideas which might help us expand again in the future please contact Janine Woods, Lesley Rumney or Hayley Pryce via this page or our FaceBook page. We will be happy to consider all options . One of our biggest barriers to finding anywhere is the cost. Daily commercial boarding rates are increasing and are not something the Greyhound Trust can sustain long term. We would be particulary interested in private kennels or possibly spaces with other rescues or trainers.
