We had a successful Annual General Meeting in October with a large attendance than usual. All officers were re-elected unopposed. Over the past few months we have welcomed new volunteers who will add their skills to the group and hopefully find volunteering for us fun. We are grateful for any time that people can spare or skill they can offer. Su and Paul at Primchurch kennels are kindly hosting a monthly gathering for volunteers and supporters who may want to help out in the future. We try and get all the hounds looking for homes out for a walk and a chance to socialise and Sue and Paul provide refreshements. It is a chance for volunteers who help at kennels to meet others who concentrate of fundraising and hopefully makes them all feel appreciated.

We have hd a successful year finding homes for the hounds. We ere recently asked, by Head Office, to help with some dogs that had been on the wailting list for a long time. We have been taking the dogs in as we have spaces and are successfully finding homes for them. Most of them are black dogs which sometimes get overlooked but make fabulous pets and get a lovely shine on them when they have shed their kennel coat.

Some of you may have seen our news about our special boy Marlow. Have a look at his story under his details. Unfortuately he has been found to have a serious heart condition which cannot be operated on. At the moment he is doing well but his condition will worsen and he may not live beyond 4-5. Shropshire and Borders will continue to support him fully with his medication and we are looking to find a very special permanent foster home for him where he can have some home comforts. Whatever happens we will make sure he will have as good a life as possible for as long as possible. If you wish to donate towards Marlow's ongoing medical costs please contact us.

Thaks you all for your interest and support and come and see us at any of our events.
