Leonard Brothers Vets' Charity Dog Show in aid of McMillan Cancer was a new event for GRSB. It was held at the lovely location of Dearnford Lake, Whitchurch on a beautiful sunny day. There was a very good turn out of all breeds of dog. The entries for Handsome dog and Prettiest Bitch had to be split into two heats with the best three from each heat battling it out in a final. Several of our homed hounds and hounds still looking for their homes took part. Lesley took her foster boy Tully into the ring where he performed magnicently. He won his heat and then went on to win the class! who could resist this gorgeous boy?

Mungo, who was adopted by Hayley last year came second in Best Rescue. Tully took part in Best in Show which was decided by public vote. Although our volunteers and supporters tried their best he lost out to a 12 week old Spaniel who had the cuteness factor!

We had lots of interest in the stall and gave out leaflets to everyone advertising our Dog Show. Some of our homed hounds came to visit and it was lovely to see how they have settled in.

The highlight, of course after Tully's win. was Steve Leonard agreeing to have his photo taken with the band of volunteers and our lovely hounds.

We all enjoyed our day and raised some money for the hounds. We shall definitely be back next year!!
