MEMBERSHIP

Please contact Bev Thomas, or any of our Duty Managers at idibc@btconnect.com  for full membership details

There is a joining fee, currently £15 per person for all types of membership.

Current annual full bowling subscription is £75 year due by 1st October each year.

Social membership is available for £25 per year due by 1st October each year

Junior rates are also available.

Rink fees are £2 for up to one hour and £4 for a 2 hour session.  All organised games last 2 hours, but casual games can be 1 hour duration if that suits you.

Anyone who is on low or modest income and unable to afford these fees please speak to us and we will do our best to find an affordable solution for you.  As a guide, we believe that our current fees are very affordable as an annual membership of £75 plus a locker £5 and two games a week for 52 weeks £4.00 per game would cost in total £496 a year.  Secondhand bowls, accessories and some clothes are often available from the club.

NB Members who wish to play for the outdoor section games must pay the governing bodies fees/registrations etc and therefore an annual membership for that as well.  Members who only play outdoors must also be social members of the Indoor Club.

Social Membership means:

You may come to the club at any time watch bowls indoor or outdoor and enjoy gardens in the summer plus the bar lounge where tea, coffee and drinks are available.

A social member may play bowls once a month as a guest of a full member and must pay double the normal rink fee.

You may attend any of the club events, including lunches, social evenings, but may not bring a guest.

Annual subscriptions are renewable on/by 1st October each year.

You are issued with your own entry fob.

Everyone is welcome to have a try and see if they like bowling, and we can arrange some initial guidance/tuition and provide bowls for the session free of charge – you are asked to wear flat soled completely clean indoor shoes.

Full Membership means:

You may come to the club at any time and enjoy the facilities and you may bowl as often as you wish indoors on payment of the rink fee of £4 per 2 hour session and subject to availability.

We encourage you to join leagues, play in our friendly open sessions, or just play with friends.

Bowling outdoors requires an additional membership which covers green keeping fees, National and Regional/county registration fees.   We sometimes have joint indoor outdoor events and you may bowl in those.

You may attend any club event including lunches and social events and may bring one (non-member) guest along with you.  All guests must be signed in as visitors in the book provided.

You may introduce friends or bring them along to try out bowls under your guidance/supervision – Clean indoor only shoes with flat soles are essential.  You may bring someone to try out the sport twice before fees become payable.

Full members may bring ONE guest to bowl once a month and they may bring ONE guest to social events.  You must sign your guest in using the visitors book just inside the front door.  They pay the same as any social member for social events and pay double the normal rink fee for bowling.

You are entitled to attend and vote at AGMs or special meetings and are eligible to stand for committee posts.

All annual subscriptions are renewable on/by 1st October each year.

Anyone who is visiting our area for a temporary period may be given a temporary membership by the Club Chairman and the terms will be agreed with them.   Anyone who used to be a member and has moved away but is returning for a short period of time may also agree terms with the Club Chairman.
