X-mas Lights Consultation
Christmas Lights Consultation
The Parish Council is reviewing the future of the village Christmas lights and would like to understand how residents feel about them.
The current Christmas lights are ageing and require annual spending on repairs, storage, installation, and removal. These costs increase each year as the lights become less reliable.
To ensure the village can continue to enjoy festive lighting, the Council is considering hiring new, modern, energy‑efficient lights from a specialist supplier. Hiring removes the need for repairs and storage and is likely to be more cost‑effective overall, but it does involve an ongoing annual hire fee.
Before making any decision, we want to understand whether residents feel the Christmas lights are something the village should continue to invest in.
We would like your views.
Please tell us:
- Do you enjoy having Christmas lights in the village each year?
- Do you want the Christmas lights to continue?
- Do you feel continuing with Christmas lights is a worthwhile use of Parish Council funds?
The consultation is now open and will close on Tuesday May 12th 2026. You can complete the survey on line using this link:
