Welcome to the Jane Austen Regency Week, a 9-day festival held in Alton and Chawton in Hampshire (UK) each year.
This year's festival is planned to run from Saturday 19th to Sunday 27th June. At present, we are planning the events based largely on the 2020 programme, hoping to include the popular regulars such as Alton Regency Day and the Alton Regency Ball, as well as special talks, workshops, discussions, tours and a lot more besides.
Because of the current situation, we are still trying to finalise the details of this year's events. These will be added to the website as soon as the majority of the programme is in place. We hope to have the details by the beginning of March, with tickets going on sale soon after that. We thank all our supporters for understanding the position we are in.
In the mean time, we invite you to explore this site to find out about the Jane Austen Regency Week and we look forward to welcoming you to Alton, Chawton and Selborne in 2021.
The Jane Austen Regency Week celebrates both our local internationally-acclaimed writer, and a very interesting period of history, encouraging people to explore their cultural heritage.
The Jane Austen Regency Week is run on a non-commercial basis by a group of volunteers and participating organisations. It is funded through ticket sales, sponsorship and advertising.
