Notes for ALL Competitors
Adrian Carter
Handicap system
In order to try and level things out the following handicap system is being used this year and will be refined going forward
Split into 4 sections:
Section 1: Winner of a Competition in last 3 years ZERO Hcp (Excludes Memorial Cup, Woodruff Cup & Adrian Carter Competitions but includes anyone that have won a non HCP or Novice competition at another club)
Section 2: Finalist in last 3 years THREE Hcp
(Excludes Memorial Cup, Woodruff Cup & Adrian Carter Competitions)
Section 3: Not a finalist in last 3 years SIX Hcp
Been an Adrian Carter Finalist last Year Maximum Six Hcp
Section 4: Novice (Bowling less Than 2 Years and not won a competition at our club or any other club) EIGHT Hcp
A player is given their lowest Hcp e.g
Someone that has won a (Non Memorial Cup, Woodruff Cup or Adrian Carter or equivalent) competition in either of the three previous years at this club or another club would automatically have a Hcp of Zero
Someone that hasn't won anything but has played in a final (Non memorial cup, Woodruff Cup or Adrian Carter) in the last three years would have a Hcp of THREE
Someone that hasn't reached a final in the last three years and is not a Novice (Been playing for less than 2 years) will have a Hcp of SIX
Someone that has reached the Adrian Carter final in the previous year will have a Maximum Hcp of SIX
A novice (Someone that has been playing for less than 2 years) will have a Hcp of Eight.
This means that the maximum Hcp for a team is 16 but this will only be for Novice players that have played Bowls for less than 2 years.
