Robert Higham Trust

Provide grants to assist young people to help them facilitate their studies, along with grants to Schools, in the Parishes of Kingsclere and Ashford Hill with Headley.

The Educational Foundation of Robert Higham - provides benefits not normally provided by the local Education Authority to schools in the two parishes as may be agreed between the trustees and the Head Teacher of the School concerned.  Normally grants are restricted to one per school per academic year.

The Robert Higham Apprenticing Charity promotes the education and training of young people between the ages of 16 to 25 resident in the parishes of Kingsclere and Ashford Hill with Headley, who are preparing for, or attending sixth forms, colleges, universities or undertaking organised vocational training.  Grants are awarded to assist the cost of:

Equipment, books, stationery, IT equipment and specialist clothing specifically required for undertaking learning or training in a stated subject.

Expenses incurred in travelling to and from home to the place of learning.

Application process

Applications can be submitted using the online form or by printing off the PDF version for completion.  Supporting information such as receipts etc are required and should be emailed or sent by post to the Clerk before the application can be considered.

Applications will be considered at the Trustee Meetings (please see the Meetings page for the dates) and the applicant will be advised of the outcome as soon as possible after the meeting.
