On a fine sunny afternoon, Audrey Sitch, President of the Gosport and Fareham Mixed Triples League, was handed the use of our green for the G & F President's Match by Martin Ellis, Captain of the G & F League at Lee. There were five teams representing our Club playing against five teams (one of which was made up of Lee players) consisting of representatives from other Clubs in the League. The game was won by the Lee side. At the end of the match, the teams had a ploughman's meal. A happy day, tinged with sadness at the news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II on 8 September.
