Reporting Coaches/Parking

Reporting Coach Parking Violations in Lower Slaughter

Despite a concerted effort informing coach drivers and writing to coach companies coaches still enter Lower Slaughter. This continues to create congestion in the village especially during the holiday periods with one of the biggest concerns being the potential to obstruct access for emergency vehicles.

Please be advised that, in 1995, the County Council passed a Traffic Regulation order under the Traffic Regulation Act 1984. In the order, buses and coaches (9 or more seats) are not permitted to enter the village unless -

1. They are a local service bus (based within 15 miles of Lower Slaughter), or

2. They have entered the village to drop off or pick up at the hotels in the village (and only the hotels in the village). Having dropped  off at the hotels, they MUST immediately leave the village and only return to pick up the passengers later.

You can refer coach drivers to the Village Notice board or download a copy of the TRO notice here
