Our dedicated waste and recycling crews work hard all year round to collect your household waste, including over the Christmas period.

Is your waste or recycling collection on a Thursday?

  • Instead of Christmas Day (Thursday 25 December), we'll collect on Saturday 20 December.
  • Your New Year’s Day (Thursday 1 January) collection will move to Saturday 3 January.

Is your waste or recycling collection usually on a Friday?

  • Instead of Boxing Day (Friday 26 December), we'll collect on Saturday 27 December.

There are no other planned changes to waste and recycling collections.

Garden Waste subscribers: Garden waste collections will pause from Monday 22 December and resume on Monday 19 January.

You can find details on all planned changes to council services on the website.

All bins must be out by 6am on the morning of your collection.
